OUR OROGRAPHY

The farm is divided into 4 hunting quarters already legendary among our hunters; "TASONERAS"; "CASA NUEVA"; "EL NAVAJO DEL PROVENCIO" and "LA LOMA DEL VILLAR".

Hunting in Santa Marta is easy. Suitable for any hunter regardless of age and physical condition, as the field is flat and easy to walk, with very gentle hills and in a sandy and limestone terrain, which makes the experience pleasant and very grateful.

Our mountain is typically La Mancha, full of centuries-old oaks, chaparras, rosemary, thyme, esparto and broom that intermingle with cereal and leguminous lands, which is appreciated by all the game species that live in these places, as they easily find abundant food, water and shelter, which on the other hand are complemented by the nursery especially in times of water and food shortages.

The queen species that reigns supreme is our brave red partridge, followed by other pieces highly coveted by hunters such as quail, rabbit -present all year round-, the cunning hare and the always complicated birds of passage: turtledove, wood pigeon, wood pigeon and wild pigeon, all of which can be hunted in numerous modalities and forms.

In the past, when hunting customs were different, Santa Marta was one of the most renowned farms in the area, being famous for the bravery and strength of the flight of its partridges that in the ojeos of the time put in check the lucky hunters who participated in them, since being a very flat place their main defense was to, either to pass at a great height through the lines -which at that time were made up of 12 or 14 shotguns- offering spectacular "pelotazos" and casts, or to take advantage of the tailwinds to pick up speed and pass "raseando" like rockets between the positions, trying in this way to outwit the seasoned hunters because of the difficulty of their shot.
